ADL and JLens Condemn Beauty Influencer and Business Owner Huda Kattan After Antisemitic Remarks

“Huda Kattan built a brand around beauty—but these antisemitic conspiracy theories are nothing short of ugly hate,” said Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of ADL. “Spreading vile myths about Jews to millions of followers isn’t just reckless—it’s dangerous.”

According to ADL’s Global 100 Index fielded in 2024, 35 percent of the world’s adults agree with the antisemitic trope, “Jews are responsible for most of the world’s wars”. When this rhetoric is amplified by someone with tens of millions of followers, it poses real and immediate harm.

ADL and JLens welcome TikTok’s decision to remove the video and call on Kattan to issue a public apology and engage in meaningful education about antisemitism and the damage such conspiracy theories cause.

Huda Beauty products are still carried at multiple major retailers, including Sephora, Cult Beauty, Harrods, and Walmart. Responsible corporate values and a genuine commitment to combating hate are not compatible with the antisemitic tropes shared by the founder and public figure of this popular brand.

“Retailers have a choice,” said Ari Hoffnung, Managing Director of JLens. “They can continue to platform a brand whose founder promotes hate-fueled conspiracy theories, or they can take a stand against antisemitism.”
